Email Engager
What is the Email Engager?
Email Engager is a guide for game dev's to create emails to contact creators (press, streamers, content creators, influencers, etc.) about their game(s).
What's the Email Engager's Goal?
Quickly and easily produce emails that increase the likelihood for creators to create content, make a review or cover your game(s).
Why do you need the Email Engager?
You are going to want to reach out and talk with creators. It's part of marketing. Specifically, promotion.
You can't reach every person interested in your game. Even if you did, would you have enough rapport for them to look at your game and buy it? That's where creators come in.
Creators have audiences they've built and they trust. If they present a game to their audience, they are more likely to be interested in it and listen to them.
One of the best ways to contact creators for such requests is through email. It's direct, efficient, and customizable.
So why not start with a email guide to help you build emails to get the results you want while saving you time and effort?
You could do make an email yourself. Make draft and send it out. No problem.
But, is it going to work?
That's where the Email Engager shines. Starts you off on a solid email foundation. Then, you can building on it to showcase you and your games uniqueness.
What problems does the Email Engager solve?
It solves two problems:
- How to structure the email?
- What should go in the email?
Why & how did I come up with this solution?
Email Engager was created out of necessity. When it came time for me to start reaching out to creators before the release of my steam game, Abridge, I was stuck.
- Where do I to start?
- What should I say?
- What do they want?
- What do they need to make reviews or content?
- What do I want from them?
- When do ask them?
These questions paralyzed me. So I pull up my virtual bootstraps and got to work.
After lots of trial and error and research, I made an email that got the job done. To be honest, it was ok. It got the point acrossed and I sent it out before Abridge's release.
Yet, with a little tweaking and experimentation, I found that it could be used before and after release. It also could be generalized for any creator (press, content creators, streamer, influencer, etc.).
This led to me getting a few reviews before and after release. Even received praise for sending an excellent email.
This formula to create emails became the Email Engager.
